Default Mugen intake problem..

my cousin gave me a mugen style intake but its missing a few pieces. I'm missing the filter and the band that actually holds the filter(?) anyboyd have any idea where i can get this part? or any ideas on rigging something that would work

Would some kind of larger hose clamp work? Big zip tie? I don't know how the real one attaches or anything so I'm just tossing some ideas.

it seems like you could use a k&n filter or any cone-shaped filter in there, along with getting an adjustable coupling at a hardware store or something

i actually have a drop in filter in my stock air box that i will end up reusing, my only problem is trying to get it sealed..here's a pic of what im looking for

that is a velocity stack. blox, ips, circuit hero, etc make them. you can find them online between $30-75

quik fyi you will need to cut the hood in order for it to close over this intake and the scoop dosent go all the way down to the grill like the spoon snorkel or j's it goes where your dumper reinforcement is.

im not trying to be a dick but i dont see any benifits to the mugen intake besides bling unless ur runing the mugen front bumper with the whole cut out for the scoop/snorkle.

yeah, I already know all about it and since i got it for free it doesent hurt to try it out.

well then go for it my friend is running one of these and hes happy with it hes actually thinking about cuting a whole in this oem bumper for it.
