jdm b16 swap question
i was wondering. do i need to change the (stay, throttle wire) off the jdm sir2 b16 to a 99-00 si (stay, throttle wire) wen swapping a jdmsir2 b16 in a 96 ex...the 96 ex did not have a motor when i got it..it only came with the throttle wire.

im not sure. but when i look at my LS/vtec which my brother did 9 years ago. the thottle cable is the same as the on that came with the car and they wiring is also the same as what came with the car. Looks like he just added the vtec wire to the vtec sylenoid. my cars a Obd1 92 civic Si. dont know if that be much help.
throttle cable should go by engine series and chassis. since you are changing chassis series i would say yes get the 99-00 si cable. same goes for d to b series in the same series chassis.
yes 99-00 si cable and bracket that bolts to the intake manifold. lthough, yours may work, just going from experience on my 98 dx hatch with sir2 b16. and I used the 99-00 si stuff, but I had a different intake manifold stock than the ex's
