Sell R as is or part out?
hey honda-tech family.. my R was recently stolen and crashed by the thief.. the passenger side fender took most of the damage and the frame on the passenger side is slightly bent.. this isn't covered under my insurnace so i can't afford to resurrect the beast.. the engine (178 000km), interior (minus all the wires being yanked out and exposed), rear (minus some scratches here and there from going through some evergreens), front (some bigger scratches on the bumper and front lip, but no signs of cracking) and driver side body are pretty much intact (oem sideskirt on driver side still in good shape.. passenger side has some damage by the front tire)
how much could i get for the whole car? i know some mechanics out there could put in some work and make this car look new again.. i want to sell it as a whole for a quicker transaction but if i can make significantly more parting out.. i might opt for that
any input is much appreciated.. thanks!

If you have the time and are up to it, part it out. This way, you get more money for it. If not, sell it as a whole so someone else can resurrect it. Please don't junk the caR then it will be a dead caR.
did you not have full coverage insurance on the car? if so why whould you own one of the top three stolen cars in america and not have full coverage insurance?
it was definately a bad decision on my part not to get full coverage.. but my neighbourhood was fairly good (so i thought) and full coverage would have costed me too much considering what i actually paid for the car.. yes it was dumb on my part..but that's the risk i took and i paid for it.. lesson learned

That's the biggest mistake/assumption that most people make. You'd assume just because your neighborhood is nice/good, you think that your car won't get stolen. The truth is that, thieves come from all over and they seek the "nice" neighborhoods for cars they want because the owners are less careful.
