Default Slipstreams what size +what tire size

Ok finally got some dough for some slipstreams. I know I want the flat black ones but my dilema is what size? I've seen these wheels in many cars but haven't been able to tell diffirence between 15"s or 16"s. Also sorry for posting this here but cosmetic is really slow and I need to order these in about 2hours. So I need some opinions.

16" because 15s are way too small and look wierd unless your tucking ALOT and i mean ALOT of tire

H-T worrying about their precious looks all the time. I thought there were not a lot of tire choices for 16's?

go with 16's and put a 205/40R16 tire and go with a Falken ZE912 or a Nitto Neogen...

go for hankook Z-212 in 205/45R16

and 15" wheels aren't that advantageous compared to 16" wheels.. \

you can get a good wheel in 16" that could weigh less than another 15" wheel

it all depends how slamed the car is... the OD on a 205/40R16 is 22.5 and on the 205/45R16 is 23.3,....if your car is droped go with a 205/40. and put a Falken ZE912 it has a AAA Rating and and its a All Season Performance Tire, has REALLY good Grip . Hankook its ok

using a tiresize calculator a 195/50/15 is the same as 205/40/16.
rim weight is less than tire weight?, im starting to think i want 16"

i have a black hatch with 15" flat black slips and i like the way they look. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dafuzzbudd &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">using a tiresize calculator a 195/50/15 is the same as 205/40/16.

Trust me when i tell u this. Get the 15's with sticky tires. U will get the best ride. If u go 16 or even 17 u will have to get thinner profile tires witch will make your ride like super bumpy. Get 15" slips with 195/50/15 tires. A 50 profile is a good ride and get some sticky tires. If your on a bit of a budget get the falken 452's. Good performance tire.

hankook Z-212 (Ventus RS2) are almost equal to falken azenis RT-615... at least they are in the same category and a little less expensive.. they are way better than the Falken Ziex 912 that is for sure.. the only reason why i got the hankooks is becasue falken doesn't make 205/45R16... the ride difference between 15 and 16 isn't 2 different worlds.

And the big one here:

It's summertime and you're in CA, go for some Falken Azenis. Horrible in the wet, amazing in the dry. Fun tires

well i have Rays Rims in my EK9 and they are 16's, and using ze912. And yes the Azenis is a nice tire and very sticky , BUT it is not going to last you a very long time, they will waist really fast. My Buddy has a 2000 Si and has 16 slips and it looks REALLY clean. Once you get the 16s dump your car. and a 205/40r16 is about 2inch side wall.

so the 16's have a harsher ride. what about performance & weight?

Just get the rim/tire size combo that will fit your future drop.

I'm planning on 16's on 205/45-16 myself for the future. It wont be dropped that much. Just enough for a finger or two gap.

Man what to do? I can get some 15"s w/tires for 300 from some friend. Should I get them. I mean I looked around and 16"s w/tires are around 700-730. I mean I can save the rest for some performance parts. Maybe some headers and stuff maybe even a b20 swap? Damm what to do? What would you guys do?

If you have an EH get 15s.
If you have an EJ get either.
Tires are cheaper in 15s.

That's just my opinion. Nothing is set in stone.
