i just bought a 2000 civic si. It run good until i washed the car. The car will not start unless you give it a little gas and I smell sulfur. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong with it?

 

got a cel 54 and 86 i beleive. ones a crank fluctuation sensor and the other an egr valve. but still does not explain the sulfur smell

 

any help would be greatly appreciated

I got it running ok now but the problems still persist. the cat seems to be stopped up. Does anyone know the symptoms if it is?

 

Found out some new info. the number three cylinder either has a crack in the sleeve or the head is cracked at the number 3 cylinder. So the motor is crap. And right when u think u found a good car...damn.

 

Build'er up! Usually most cars you get you always personalize in some way to make it more comfortable to you. Thats why I say build A engine(since the one you've got now is shot)to you needs and wants. Sorry about the engine too. Good Luck

 

well bro i bought the car tuesday with a loan from the bank. i really dont like getting the run around from a local dealer. So im going to have a lawyer type me up a letter. Fortunately in Alabama we have a lemon law. I would like for him to pay to have it fixed. Well fixed by me like i want it. gsr maybe. or if the head is still good poor mans type r.
