tore apart the tranny and found a couple things. B16 trans
pulled the tranny apart and first thing i noticed when i popped it off is this seal/springy thing came out right by the LSD Not sure what it is. but still has the seal in the trans so im not sure if this another part of the seal or what.

also i found 2 chunks of casting material. The Gearset Looks great. Synchro's look great. looked all around in the casing to figure out where the hell the casting material came from. there is no marks on the gear where they would caused damage.
Also my Finaldrive/LSD would not come out is this pressed in?

No, the diff and FD are not pressed in. You have to just lift it straight up (obviously after taking out the gear sets)

ding ding.
That is definately an axle seal....the clutch housing side and gear housing are different sizes though. Irrelevant though, you should change them out when you reassemble anyway.
If your tranny did not originally come with an LSD, changes are good that the bearings were swapped to the new cartridge style bearing when the LSD was installed....hence the reason it's tough to remove. It's a tolerance fit, but it slides right out (after removing the gearsets)

does the trans leak oil from where the 10mm bolt that holds shift linkage bar to the trans?ive seen a piece of metal that looks exactly like that from someone that used a bolt that was too long and broke the case from the inside
tore it apart since im doing a new build and wanted to see the condition of the gears and synchro's to make sure everything was good before i put it all back together.
I found where the casting came from. it was where the motor mount bolt goes guess i put in too long of a bolt and it hit the the lip in the casing and broke it off. luckily there was no damage
