Adjusting Headlights...?

Adjusting Headlights...?
Okay okay I know WHERE the things are...but I'm just curious to know how do you actually...turn it.
I tried using a screw driver to make it move but...it would move every...10 jabs. Then I tried an 8mm and it moves of course...but I cannot use the 8mm with all the other adjusters...so I'm curious if you guys remove anything to adjust the headlights?

I did...that's the link I originally used.
Everytime I keep hitting the screws, they keep busting and leads to chips.
