Default baking the headlights

i need to get the lense off my headlights....i know there was a thread awhile back about to put them in the oven....can someone either direct me to that link or explain to me how to do it....

Its for a civic, but if you know how to take out your headlights its basicly the same thing.

Make sure to keep a close eye on them, some people tend to keep it in too long and melt the headlights.

another guestion i have is that i have the halos in my headlights....will they still come apart like the stock ones??

I've found that preheating the oven to 400 degree's and then turning off and putting the headlights in for about 7 mins works great for me. I feel a little better also knowing that I'm not adding any extra heat then what is already in the oven from preheating. Make sure to place them on a cookie sheet also otherwise you can end up with grill marks on the bottom of the housing.

doesn't matter how hot, i've used a heat gun to remove the lens on headlights before, just leave it in too long otherwise the plastics mounting clips get too soft and they don't fasten properly anymore.
