radio
im getting a new head unit soon but until then.... i was driving sunday and my speakers started popping and such. drove through a hell of alot of water from a storm on saturday night so i figured it did something. but i was cleaning my trunk today and found that the positive wire on the left rear speaker came loose and was hitting the negative. Now my radio doesnt work... it turns on, shows the time. all fuses are good. the volume shows that tis going up but theres no sound. ANY IDEAS?
try disconnecting just that one speaker and check if it works........is it a pioneer radio? also not to be a messed up but i though 99 civics were em1 not ej8...?
man i work as an audio installer so im trying to help you out by giving you some tips on what to do to see if it works.........disconnect that speaker only and try listening to your radio.......if it works than that speaker has shorted out and was causing the rest of them not to play.......
my vin number has ej8 in it. im pretty sure civic SI's were em1's. Its the stock head unit. the only different thing is i put mb quart speakers in the rear
