Default My tranny is acting up - Rebuild?

So my 03 V6 tranny is acting up. I'm pretty sure it stems back to the recall on the 2nd gear, even though it had the oil jet kit installed around 20k miles.

I don't want things to get any worse so I need to get it fixed. I'm trying to see if there is any coverage under Honda but according to them, once they installed the kit and the standard warranty has expired, it is not their problem.

I could go to Honda for a new tranny paid for by me or I can take it to a regular shop to have the tranny rebuilt.

Any suggestions?

feel like it's slipping under low load only? that's what happened to mine. had it replaced. (extended warranty though) not sure if I'd trust rebuilding unless you know a really reputable shop. try finding a used one and getting it installed.
