Default avoiding tranny grinds while shifting

heres whats happenin, my 3rd gear grind on my z6's tranny. It won't grind the first few shifts but once the tranny
warms up it grinds every time. now i have tried to double clutch and wait a few seconds, that does work but not every time,
and i've tried to completely avoid the gear by goin 2nd-4th but that's annoying so u guys got any tips on how to shift into 3rd
more easily w.o a grind...please dont say what the problem is or advise me to get a new tranny, i already kno!

ok, i searched a little bit, and i found that pezznoil's syncromesh will ease, or may even stop the grinding...my question is cuz it'd recommended for gm model cars, i need to kno if i can put it in my honda???

Many people do, me included, but like I said in your other thread the Honda MTF is designed for your tranny (even though Honda was filling them with regular 10w30 back when the Z6 was released).

ya you could try that, it does help if its a slight grind, i have used it in one of my cars before. but sounds like yours may be too far gone. its always worth a shot tho. 3rd gear grinds are far too common with hondas, my winter beater's tranny is pretty worn out and pretty much every gear it will grind but if i take my time shifting i dont really notice it.

yea the gm stuff will work in hondas. but if you have the time you could just replace the 3rd gear synchro and it will fix it for good.

i found that replacing a gear and/or syncro is too complicated vs. changing the tranny all together, and considering
a d series tranny is easily found under $200 i'll deal with it till i can afford a new tranny all together
