Default on the subject of IACVs..

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the differences between the various IACVs and what they are. I'm guessing the valve are different between obd-0, obd-1, and obd-2, and also between the ls and gsr. I know the obd-1 gsr and ls have the stupid fast idle air bypass thing on the TB, and the obd-2 cars don't. So what happens if you eliminate that fast idle thing, does the IACV still pick the idle up enough when it's cold, or what? Or do you get a code for it? What happens if you replace that valve with the obd-2 valve? I'm assuming since the obd-2 setup doesn't use the additional fast idle valve, the obd-2 IACV flows too much air for the obd-1 computer to control, and the idle will be way too high.
Any info on this would be appreciated, I am in need of an IACV, I have a thread in the for sale section, and just want to make sure I'm buying the right thing before I do anything. I have the bbk intake manifold and a prof products 68mm TB, so I have no provision for the fast idle valve, and my computer will be an obd-1 chipped/converted p75.
