Ok, just finished my move back to Tx, now I have to register my car here who has never in her life had to wear the shame of a front plate
I have no real choice in the matter though so my question is this, where is the most creative place you have seen a plate mounted that doesn't look like utter crap? I hate the front plates on cars but I really dislike giving my money to the state over tickets so I will put one on there somewhere. Give me pics or ideas on this.

Aww, thanks for your well thought out intelligent post that screamed ivy league degree
Did I say a word about sideways angle mounted anything? Did I ask for your opinion on sideways angled locations? Doubt it, if I posted the topic, it's most likely becuase I do NOT want to put it in the stock location but I am willing to bet you feel better about yourself for trying to a tough guy on the net.
If anything, your response screams retarded 16 year old, now GTFO.

Ever had an issue with the plate scraping up the dash or random pull overs because of it? I have seen a few thrown up there since I have been back but I was wondering if anyone had simply mounted one further back in the grill so it's less obnoxious.

That's what I was thinking about doing Chris, my car is on a car hauler on it's way here though so I have no idea if it will fit in there on it or not though.
Kyle, do you guys have to have them in Il? I can't remember, been a while since I have been up there.

Ive had a couple friends get pulled over for speeding and the cop was cool and only gave them a ticket for no front plate!

i actually have mine where it goes lol *you'll see
generally cops could give 2 ***** about your front plate, i have never heard of anyone getting pulled over JUST for that, the cop may notice and say something, worst case you will get a pissy little ticket/fixit ticket, just show up at courthouse or whatever with pic of your car with plate on it and ur golden,
OK as for the sliding around part, texas plates have shitty sharp edges, i rolled mine *you'll see, abut what you can do to fix any possible sliding/scratching is get some of that flexible door-edge-gaurd0trim **** nand put that around edges, if too skinny, roll edges and install that door-edge stuff

I think I am going to throw it under the front seat and just pull it out and put it on the dash if I get pulled.
I seriously hate a front plate. GOD I miss nc.

lol be careful how you pull that off lol, they might think you are goin for a gun... i say get bumper holes shaved and be like theres nowhere to put it, so i had a random *** extra plate lol
they're not gonna say anything, if they ask why no plate say look theres no holes!!!

I've been issued a $210 ticket for no front plate. I never got the front plate from the dealership, nor did I want one. I bought new plates, took a picture with the front plate on, but the judge didn't care one way or the other. He found that I had committed the heinous crime and then proceeded to rob me.
I folded my plate into a "7" shape over my desk and used 3m double stick tape to adhere it to the top of the front opening. I hate it, but I hate tickets more.

i don't know about texas but that's just as illegal to do that in so cal as not having your front plate. you're basically defacing/damaging state property by cutting up your license plate like that.

Im from texas and have gotten pulled over in my prelude by every kind of law enforcement officer and never got a ticket for it. I just got warning after warning. I laughed at the post from hondakyle because that excuse really worked for me everytime. Now that I have the S I dont get any attention from them. Maybe its becuase they think im a old folk or something. No offense to all the older guys with s2k's

well in the S's front grille, you can just ziptie it behind the grates
ive seen cars in nj that have just the top (where the inspection sticker) and the letters, the rest of the plate was missing since it was scraping on the ground

I've always just left the front plate on just because I don't want to risk getting a stupid ticket for it. I've had friends who have been pulled over & most of the time they've gotten tickets (even if its on the dash) along with w/e ever else the cop got them for. Texas front plate law =
IMO just put the thing on and deal with it (unfortunately). Its not really worth the hassle & worrying you're going to get pulled over for it every time you see a cop.

yeah either do no plate or do like i did on the accord (you will have to put new holes in license plate
and put some rubber or something behind the plate so it doesnt scratch the car... wont look TOO bad
i know my plate bent as **** is horribly illegal, o well ill just say someone else did it, my uncle lol

I'm a dick? Your first [freak]ing line in my thread was suck it up.
I have news for you, your opinion on what will make my car look better means less than zip to me. If it did, I would have titled the topic "Iam7head, what should I do to my car".
Instead, I titled it and posted exactly what I wanted with no regard to your personal feeling on the matter. In short, yes you sound like a whiney 16 year old, yes you are injecting you opinion where it isn't wanted/needed because the thread is pretty specific, and yes, you still need to GTFO.
Simply don't click the thread anymore and you won't have to worry about what I think makes my car look better/worse because it's none of your concern. There was nothing in here asking for peoples opinions, just ideas on where to put it.

Thats exactly what i do and never had a problem. I ghetto ziptie my plate in place when I go to the race track but thats cuz there are cops everywhere and friends have had bad experiences.
