PW:JDM Floor Plates...
So I tried searching "Floor Plates" and nothing came up so my quesion is, Has anybody installed the "Universal Honda" PW:JDM floor plates on an EF? any details/pictures would be great!
What a waste of money. Honestly what is that going to do for you. It raises your heel like 1/2" off the ground and its like $150+something which is donkey *****. Hey, you might be into that sort of stuff, so don't take offence to what I said if thats your cup of tea. I hope your not purchasing it for functionality reasons.

I'll make you that out of .100 sheet aluminum for $100 in any color and cut out you want. I can't [freak]ing believe what kinds of mark up they put on their products.
"Password JDM - innovating all the cool parts you don't need!"
or
"Password JDM - we ship more broken interior and JDM parts then anyone

It gives a nice even flat surface for gutted cars, i don't think its really the height that matters as much.
I don't think its a waste of time or money.
Of course thats totally subjective to the end user.

Good point.
However, they don't have any competition in the extreme niche market so they charge accordingly.

in my corolla a piece of metal to cover all the ridges and raise my heel off the exhaust hot floor would have been nice. but i would spend at the most $40 from lowes.
When I read the title all I could think of is the fast and the furious. Where the DSM had the floor plate come off in the race.
That seems a waste of money to me. I wear my Piloti's when doing any kind of aggressive driving. And I have never needed anything like that.

You sure dont know much when it come to manufacturing. Here let me break it down for you 1 sheet 4x8 will make 10 plates and pedels 1 sheet 3/16 aluminum is about 250 plus mark up if the manufacture charges which they always do plus cnc cuting at 175 250 hr which would take a least an hour and a half or more to cut plus time save an deburing plus forming and welding on the pedal, then hard annodize wich is way more than regular annodize then etching, hardware and finaly packaging. Trust me theres not much mark up at all.
It could be cheaper if it was made from 1/8" but then it would be flimsy
On my car I have 1" spacers below it size 10 shoe and its perfect!
Any dirt or debree that may get in the car on the track will go under the plate and not get near you feet.

how about making you own?
you could use lots of things, plywood, plastic, a simple $15 peice of sheet metal, layers of carpet. then paint or find somthing nice for the top.
Or why not just fill the ridges in with, little stips of wood, or carpet , and I dont recommend it but theres always bondo
and since a car with an interior gets by with only a thin layer of carpet and a floor mat, it shouldnt take much for you to replicate.

thats always a posibility and i wouldnt be buying it for a while... i have MANY other things to get befor this... I'll probobly end up making my own from a thin steel sheet or somthing... I can get stuff either zinc plated (for free) or powder coated any color (for next to free) probobly like $5 for somthing like that...

The quality and design is very similar if not the same as floor plates seen on $100,000+ plus touring cars. good parts are never cheap. If all you can afford is wood and that works good for you cool. I would never put no booty as **** in my car though.
