Default oil filter??????

ok i just bought a 05 dc5 im about to reach the 1000 mile marker so its time for me change the oil i called auto zone and askd if they had the 05 type r listed for parts but they said no. does the rsx-'s oil filter fit the type r

well, do you have a true Type-R motor ( K20A ) ???? if so, then yes, it is the same block as the USDM K20A2 and if you use a K&N its a K-1010, im not sure about the Mobile1 or others, but i know a Valvoline is a VO-50.

dept of korwreckshuns..........the K&N filter is not K1010 it is HP-1010 sorry. lol

How do you have a real DC5-R but not even know the oil filters are interchangable. Or the fact that autozone wouldn't have any parts for a car that essentially doesn't exist to them lol

Actually I think you get better oil pressure using the recommended one (smaller/regular Honda filter)
