"The Tank" is now "The Hulk"... or maybe Kermit...
Hey guys, the Tank got a facelift.
Shitty pics, sorry

Action shots coming Saturday at Grattan. It's 90% ready. New front springs (1000 lb/in) will hopefully stop some of the roll and rubbing with 255/40R17 Toyos up front. We'll see if it stays on the ground there, it's a pretty bumpy track.
Anyhow, the green doesn't come out very green in the fluorescent light. It's really green.
Later,
Chris

Forgot to say, MAJOR PROPS to Estrada Customs in Libertyville, IL. Fabian over there gave me the hook-up and did it in only a couple weeks too.
Wife likes green, easy to pick out of a crowd on track (versus Red/Black).

I switched over to chromoly tube for bumper supports, front and rear. It was good for a few lbs, maybe 15 or so compared to the partially gutted USDM supports.

Yeah, I just put in new lexan this weekend too. $250 for a 4x8 sheet of scratch resistant stuff. A little description here, I'll post a closeup there too.

I didn't see that thread. I'll check it out.
You're going to Nats, right? I'll likely be going, but I won't be driving (can't afford it right now). I'm planning to go and help crew for David R. and his Prelude. Hopefully I'll go next time.

Yeah, I'll definitely be there in H1. Hopefully less losing this time.

There's no headlights at all behind the headlight covers, no housing or anything. They're keeping bugs out of the engine bay at the moment.
PIC is a Midwest Honda Challenge series sponsor. I'm running Konis right now. (Billy, look at the red Prelude pics, I have PIC stickers on the old pics.)

Ah, I had a feeling that was the case. It just seems funny that you have to stamp a company's name on the car itself even though they don't provide any parts for your chassis. Those headlight covers/plugs got me thinking....but it's a bit removed from RR.

$2500 to fix the rear quarter, A new passenger door, gut and install the new passenger door, roll and install new front fenders, New front bumper + installation, a few other bumps and bruises fixed, and paint. It really was a great deal, cash-only price.

17x8 +35 4x114 Rota Torques with 235/40 rear, 255/40 or 235/40 front. The 255's rub the top of the wheel well with the 800 lb/in front springs, so I went to 1000 lb/in and raised it a bit. They also rub at full lock but I don't care about that. Hopefully Grattan is less bumpy than the last time I was there.
I saw some video that showed a couple of repaved sections which should help.

Was the bill itemized by any chance? Do you know much just repaint portion of that was? Half the clearcoat is gone on my trunk and is starting to peel on the hood and other parts.
