1988 Honda CRX SI Air Conditioning
I just recently was left a deceast friends 1988 Honda CRX Si. He bought it new and never had air conditioning in it. I would like to put a factory type air conditioning system and would like to get some advice on where to get a system for this car. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get out as cheap as I can but I do want a new or very good system to go in the car. I only want to do this once!!! Thanks, Steve
honda sells an a/c kit for the ef. It's way easier to purchase this than to source used parts by yourself. It took me for forever and almost cost the same, I could have spent more sourcing my own parts..who knows. beside the a/c kit you would need to buy the wiring harness for the a/c. you could either buy one from honda try your luck and try to get one at a junkyard. chances are that one component of the a/c harness has been cut in a junkyard unless you find an ef with a/c that was just brought in.
I have some misc a/c hardlines, compressors (2), and 2 or 3 incomplete harnesses if you're interested.

Gunnerman, When I contacted my local Honda dealer; they told me that you could no longer order a air conditioning kit for a 1988 Honda Civic CRX SI. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks alot for emailing me!! I'am really wanting to put air in this car but the only people who carry a complete kit is ackits.com or autoair.com. Price is $923.76 and $60 to $70 for shipping. Wewwww thats alot of doe. Gunnerman do you have any other ideas. Regards, Steve
