Default Eighty-Nyne's Eighty-Nine ED hatch.

Soooooo where to start.

THE STORY

I used to own a 1974 VW beetle. I had it only 4 days >.> . On the 4th day of owning it I was driving home from school and a guy in a dodge truck slipped on a piece of black ice trying to make a left hand turn to go on the street I was on. I was the first person at the stop. As he was sliding he overcorrected and hit me. Totalling the beetle.

But the entire time when looking for a car I really really wanted an old school civic hatch, but could never find one at ALL so I settled for that beetle. Well after I got the money from the dudes insurance (More than what I paid for the car!!!) I hopped on on Craigslist and the first car after typing in honda was the hatch I bought. Sweet stuffs.

So I bought this.

Dents...Pitting...and more dents. And a side molding off an entirely different car.

Chipping and stuffs. Was originally white and probably spraypainted this forest green.

Dents...pitting...then a super dent.

Interior aint tooooo bad. Some ******* cut holes for speakers in the door cards though...I dont know if I want to replace them with EF8 ones or just fill the hole. Needs seats bad. Carpet is nastyyyyy. Needs another steering wheel other than the whale tail one...probably gonna get an BA8 Prelude wheel or just a 91 lx one. Yeah, not really sure with what I want to do with the interior yet. It comes after bodywork and paint.

THE GOOD

Since I know very little about engines and drivetrain other than basic maintenance and other stuff. I bought a car from another H-T user (who I still haven't found on here) who did all that work for me haha.

the D15b7 has got

Honed cylinders
New bearings and washers
piston rings
headgasket
all seals/gaskets
timing belt
thermostat
waterpump
tbelt tensioner
plugs
wires
cap and rotor
hoses

Runs so good. Cold starts with only 3 cranks.

Just posting here to show you guys whats up. And get motivation because I'm extremely lazy and have thought about selling a couple times haha.

I already got all the stuff for bodywork and paint...going with gloss white and fallowing this guide http://www.instructables.com/id/SKJDICBF8NBMF9I/

Holy way overdue update batman!

So I drove the car for about 8 months until it started giving me problems.

I never noticed how hacked up the wiring harness was near the ECU, so I guess the previous owners must have swapped the engine. But the badly soldered and un-heat shrinked wires grounded out on the frame, and shorted my ECU and dizzy.

Also replaced rear brake cylinders with new shoes and lines because they were leaking. And swapped in a new master cylinder.
