Default vtec VS non vtec ECU.. will it be a problem?

hello guys, i read a bunch of different threads but couldn't the answer to what i'm looking for.
I'm waiting on a new ecu for my car (and also in search for a hondata s200), which is a 97 accord EX with the f22b1 (vtec) motor. Since i'm going obd1 now, i'm going to sell the current ecu. I have a friend who wants it, but he has a 97 accord LX with the non vtec engine, f22b2. Will my "vtec" ecu work on his "nonvtec" car?!
Thanks in advance!

Yes it will work. Just needs to have the correct program (maps) with VTEC disabled.

I think he wants to put the OBD2 VTEC ECU in an OBD2 non-VTEC car. I didn't think there was any way to edit that type of info on the obd2 ROMs/maps.
