Default Anyone with 17"s?

Well I have a 97 EJ8 EGP color. I have some black with chrome rils laying around but they are 17"s and don't know if they'll look gay or good. I mean they are just laying there so I tought might as well...... anyone rocking 17"s? On any color car, post some pics up so I can get an idea. Thanx

i dont have pics...but ive got a 98 coupe with 17s. it looks alright but unless you have a suspension setup you will rub alot.

IMO 17 is pushing it. 18 and above is just too nuts. atleast for civics and sols.

Well my car is stock so I have no suspension mods or anything to be exact except an intake. But I have these rims laying around and I getting tempted to put them on. I mean why not? I really want slipstreams but hey I guess I can rock these meanwhile. I think it would look better than my stock steelies with hubcaps.

If you put 17's on stock suspension your car will be higher than redman at the source awards.

17" is pushing it IMO for the older cars, such as the CRX, EG, etc, as they're smaller proportioned cars than the new ones. It's all about proportion, which is why the newer cars are able to pull off the 17" look IMO.

EDIT: Yes, ride height is also a major part of pulling off the look.

Well see the thing is the 17"s are on my 98 saturn sc1. But it got hit while parked and it was totaled. That's how I bought my ej8. Bow I need to get rid of the car to the junk yard so im not gonna give them the rims. So I need to swap my civics steeleis for my rims which in turn ill be driving my ej8 on 17"s. Its that or lose my rims which im not gonna have.

Okay. Well this is a question of value more than aesthetics I think. You should just swap out the 17s and put them on your civic then. It's an EJ8, so proportionally, you should be alright, as long as the 17s you have aren't too gaudy.

Put them on, let's see some pics.

Here was my old Sol when I got it...... Unless you wanna go 4x4ing don't do it on stock suspension. Looked retarded and drove even worse.

Well i think there is a BIG diffirence between my EJ8 and your Small *** Sol . Its as if i were to put 22" on mini cooper . Thats a pretty big diffirence

Lol, true. Either vehicle though, without being lowered its gonna look like its ready to go baja'ing at a moment's notice. If you can live with 4x4 status until you can get it lowered then go for it. I wouldn't want to waste a set of wheels either. Personally, I'd try to track down an extra set of steelies to throw on the junkyard car and keep the wheels stored until you're lowered.

I have 17s on my 92 dx and love them. I'm going to get some 16s more than likely after my turbo z6 is in for performance reasons, but I just like the look of rubber bands. Disregard the ghey tail lights, this pic is about a year old but its the clearest one I have

I'm on 205/40s as well. Its not as rough as most people think. Most of the harshness comes from people being dumped.
