Starting issue, new issue..
this is the 3rd time i've notice this problem on my gsr swap..yesterday morning i drove the car for 1 hr, it started fine..came home, parked the car from 9-3pm..it's about 86 degree F outside, all window up..
went out to start the car and it starts for 2-3secs then shut off..tried again and it just won't start..it'll crank like it want to turn over and but it won't..did this like 4-5x and it won't start..
rolled all the window down...fix my cluster bulb problem..about 10mins later, start her up and she start just fine..like nothing happen..i've notice that this only happen when it's really hot outside...well the last time it was at night..
could the cabin heat just make the ecu too warm to start?? i'm running a jdm p72 ecu virgin..
mods:
i/h/hf cat/ ex/ctr cams/skunk2 IM/hondata im gasket/denso iridium plugs/ngk plug wires..
full tank of gas, premium..battery is good, new alternator, new cap and rotor, plugs and wires..all these were changed a couple of months ago..about the same time..
i checked battery connection and it's fine..on really tight..ground points are good and clear..fuel pump still prime the system whenever i put the key on the "on" position.
checked all the fuses, all are good..don't know where the fuel relay is at so can't check that..filter are clean, just cleaned it 2wks ago..
don't know wat's going on with it..just started a month ago..the swap been in there for over 1yr w/out problem..i also have a CEL but that's because i have the skunk2 intake mani, so it's for the butterfly thingy..
any opinion??
thanks

That is the correct relay. It's also the source of your problem. If you pop off the brown cover, you'll see the circuit board. On this borad is about two dozen solder points. If you look closely, some of the points will have what appears to be small halos around them. These points need to be resoldered. Over time, the solder points have expanded and contracted so many times with heat and cold that the points begin to crack. In the extreme heat (or even humidity) the board expands making you experience the situation you desribed. This is the fix for your problem.
Everytime i have a new customer with a honda/acura, i remove this part and solder all the points. Unfortunately it's a known problem with our cars. Cheers.

I need to have it in my hand when i look at it. The halos are very small. Anyway, all you have to do is re-solder each of those points and your problem will be solved. If you don't trust yourself to solder the points, bring the part to a stereo installation shop and have them do it. It shouldn't take more then ten minutes. Cheers.
