***Race for the 8's***Let's do it!!
We'll there seems to be allot of attention towards the next Holy Grail in Sport Compact Drag Racing.. the first SFWD to run 8's..
Now we know that there are some real contenders namely / Felix - Tony1 - Jonathan - Ballard - CFT - Tempest - Cesear The Champ - Courtney Green etc..
Now there are lot arguments for someone doing it at a test and tune but who's knows what size turbo weight etc.. they ran it at.. soooooooo...
Lets do it! 8 cars for Outlaw Showdown to Shoot for 8's and up to $16k in winnings..
$2500 buy in
1st - $9000
2nd - $4000
Best Reaction Time $3000
The event could take place Aug30th one week after Etown Nopi - at NED and I will broadcast the entire event live and will dedicate a site entirely to that race where all the racers will have there own channels for ther fans and I will have up to 10' cameras doing the brodcast..
I will also GUARANTEE that the track will be prepped better than most Pro Events..!
So lets save this sport and bring it to the next level all at once!
any takers?
So Far I have
1. Jonathan Reynolds
2. Felix Medina
3. Cesear DaChamp
4. Miller
5. CFT
6. Ballard (needs to confirm)
two spots left.. I will be calling Tony tomorrow (Wed) to discuss

im guessing new england dragway, but seriously, for this amount of bread, it would need to be central.

ned would be a great prepped track. however, not really a central location to all on the list. would be a east coast event but might have to be somewhere in the middle.

Maybe the rules can be adjusted to limit GM and K series cars to a 61mm turbo and let the B series cars run 81mm turbos. That way everything is fair.

How about no turbo size limit, 2 power adders, and 26" slicks? Remeber, this is a race into the 8's. Who cares how they do it?
My moneys on Clutchmasters though. Who wants sidebets???

if it becomes just run whatever setup you have, what's the significance of the 8 second e/t.
I thought the whole attraction to these cars is that they are still (or nearly) SFWD legal and approaching 8 second ets. Without the class regulations, would it really be that big of a deal to push into the 8s.
I doubt it

so this is definately on? is anyone really willing to pony up that much cash on this much short notice? personally i think it would be alot cooler if someone put up a bounty for the first fwd streetcar in the 8s. it would be like summits 25k for the first 200 mph sport compact or nopis 7 second fwd club. that would create some excitement and give everyone something to shoot for.
