Default Process of getting a new ride. Which one to get?

Hey I need help I'm planning on getting a new ride, well it's not 08-09 new Im thinking more of 06 and that's new to me compared to the 98 Accord I have. Im thinking of getting a Si or Rsx Type S both there basically the same car the only difference is the decals and a few hp differences. I currently have an 98 Accord, which has never let me down once, but I think it's that time to try to get something a little newer. I've put in a lot of money into my Accord, from a body kit, rims, sound system and other odd things which a family member wants to buy because Im deployed right now. So why not go for something newer I know a dealership want buy it because of the things I have on it. Im looking at to spend around 18 to 20k but I dont know which to decide on, which would be the best bet to go with. Later Im probably going to add performance parts, which I really couldn't do with my Accord because it's an auto and it has the stock engine. Im trying to go with something that doesnt need to much help to get that extra boost for example engine swaps and what not...

rsx = tunable
si = non-tunable

if you plan on having your car for a while and are fine with i/h/e (for the most part; there is greddy turbo and comptech s/c if you can get your hands on one) then get the SI. if you want to do something instant to it...go for the rsx, it has more potential right now. lots of stuff is out for it and there is kpro to tune it. right now all si owners are stuck until hondata or someone else (hydra) comes out with something.

why pay 18-20k for a used SI when you can shell out another 1-2k and get a brand new one?

rsx got more parts out there for it. si got less now, but eventually will catch up.
rsx is gone, si is only 2-3 years old now (hint: bright future! lol)

If you gonna be like "I need to mod it now!" then ---> rsx I guess
But if you gonna do it a little at a time, then si is great.

I think Si is like replacement for the rsx because honda decided that rsx doesn't cut to be a luxury acura.

You can get either used with less than 18k.

if I were you, I'd get the si.
