Default **TESTING THE WATER** Fs/Ft - Rare - Milano Red 1994 Del Sol Vtec--All Motor Build-- $6500 OBO

[SOLD.]

Ok Ok, I know I said 6500 is the lowest I will go. But I have found something I want. Therefore the price is adjusted accordingly for a quick sale. New price is 6200.00. There are stock del sol Vtec's going for this. Again, this doesnt include the new sound system or the wheels.

NEW PRICE: 6200.00

OOPS! I did it again... NEW PRICE $$$5800.00$$$

Well guys I'm thinking about selling my Del sol. It is the original 1994 Vtec model that came with the B16. The B16 has been swapped out for an all motor GSR block and SI Head. I bought the car like this, already built, after a girl hit me and totalled my Civic. The previous owner, and original owner, like myself, are extremely cautious/meticulous when it comes to our cars. I have a folder of receipts from the original owners maintenance, as well as receipts for almost every performance upgrade on this list. Everything on this car was done properly, no corners were cut in the build.

Motor & Transmission built by Mike Belben of NEW ENGLAND HONDA REBUILDERS

If you want to see his work, go to http://www.newenglandhondarebuilders.com, you'll be impressed.

2.5" Flat black vibrant stealth muffler - Clean & Mellow

MISC:
Password JDM red stitch shift boot
Skunk 2 Shift ****
Hasport mounts
Koyo alluminum radiator with slim fan
Skunk 2 sway bars front & back
Skunk 2 camber kit front & back
Tokico shocks

17" Voxx wheels with decent rubber left
205/40/17 Falken Ziex tires
New NGK v-power plugs (1 step colder)
New OEM wires
New OEM Cap & ITR rotor
New OEM Ignition Coil
Xenocron socketed ECU w/ reburnable chip
Infinity Kappa's in the front & Pioneers in the rear

I recently installed a band new $300 pioneer head unit, as well as Rockford subwoofers, amp, and wiring. If you want to keep this stuff it will be an extra $600 or I can just take it out, no biggie. If i take it out the car will come with a sony Xplod head unit.

Motor & Transmission have been glassedbeaded & cleaned during rebuild. Everything new...OEM gaskets, seals, bearings etc. Everything has been done right. Motor has less than 10k on it, MAX. I have close to 400 pictures of the build on CD. Changed the oil atleast 6 times since break in using only OEM Honda oil filters & the motor only has around 10k on it. Mobil 1 synthetic since break in.
Will last for a long time & take a ton of abuse. 255 psi across the board.
Built to be very resistant to detonation.

The car was tuned at DSG in Norwood. The tune was done 100% for reliability, and the cam gears weren't touched one bit. When it was tuned, it put down 173whp on their awd dyno, which is around 200hp on a dynojet.

Overall the car is in really great shape for its age. the Carpets are unordinarily clean for being 14 years old, as well as the paint. The seats are in ok shape. There is no rips or tears, just slightly faded with a couple stains. Dash isn't cracked, everything works well. I did an extensive cut and buff on the paint, since it was fairly faded/oxidized, and it came out very well. It is still a little faded on the hood, but the car went from chalk board paint to glossy reflective paint. Before and after pics are below.

As far as "problems" with the car, there are only two things that I am aware of, and I wouldn't even consider them to be problems. Sometimes the clutch will squeel at you until it is warmed up. This is due to it being a 6 puck racing clutch, its not meant for daily driving. But once its warmed up, its usually good. Then their is a roaming idle. Which is one of two things: either the IACV, which is a cheap, easy fix. Or it needs the vacuum line for the IM to the valve cover. right now its a hose running from the intake to the valve cover, and the IM is blocked off. Another easy fix.

I try to be as up front as possible to avoid surprises, so if there is anything I haven't covered in this super long ad, feel free to ask. I can be contacted via e-mail, text, phone call, or through h-t. Everything is tied to my blackberry, so if you PM me on here, write in the forum that you PM'd me and I'll get an email saying you did, then i can get back to you asap.

When I first got it:

After a cut and buff:

AND I am located in Maine. I am willing to meet halfway (within reason) in order to make a deal. There is no question in my mind this car could make a trip around the world without stopping as long as it didnt run out of gas.

I will entertain alot of trades. As long as it is clean and stock/stockish. Let me know what you have if you're interested, the worst I can do is say no.

When it was tuned on the dyno at DSG, which is an awd, honda heartbreaker dyno, it put out about 173 WHP and 125 WTQ, thats on an AWD dyno. On a regular dyno, it would be about 200 whp i believe, but i have yet to get it on one. With cams, you can expect around 230whp.
I can get a copy of the dyno sheet on here tommorow.

Copied that right over from my ad in the vehicle for sale section!

Hey man, Thanks for the interest in my car. But unless I get a trade for a clean EM1 or bb6 I'm probably going to be getting out of the game this time around.

Sell that stuff and buy my car?
