Password JDM Battery Relocator install ??
I was looking at getting a battery relocating mount from Password or a similar model but I can't tell from the pictures how it attaches to the body. Does that piece of steel go under the battery or along the side? Any pictures would be a great help thanks.
that's what I like to know... I looked at my 2nd REX and I saw two existing holes? but think it's short of two holes for the bottom holes on the relocater box? I don't know, so I like to know that info too! because I want to buy the battery relocator for my other REX which I recently just got a swap and need an intake but because of the stock battery I have no intake right now.....
For me Password is overprice
found it on summit for $40 buck so I'll order there but I like to know this info. as well....so yeah let us know HT

That piece of steel is screwed to the body of the car, the holes will line up to those holes that are already there (tapped and all). The two studs from that piece of steel will go into the holes on the battery holder housing.
The Summit Racing housing is more universal where you will have to drill new holes to bolt to.

The password carbon one goes along the side of the frame rail right behind the radiator and uses an odyssey battery.
I installed one on my friend's car and it was super easy.

DAMN I thinking it's the same? I mean I know what universal is but thought it was similar liek passwords where I just probably have to bolt it into the existing holes....DAMN guess I gotta pay for PASSWORDs battery relocator if I don't want to drill....
Anyone got pictures of the password install with photos? and a summit? or a good photo of both to see the differance and the holes/design? Looks same to me... if not then thanks and I'll have to get password then.....

looking at the password and summit battery relocator box again...is the only difference the distance of where the holes are on the box for it to bolt to the chassis of the car?
IF so would it be safe if I just order the summit one and drill new holes on the summit box to line up to my cars existing hole so it can bolt up? or no is it just different....

I dont see why you guys are so afraid of drilling holes, wtf is so hard about that. or is it that you dont want holes in the body?
it's a custom job unless you want to pay more i guess.
look through the FAQs, I think there are a few write-ups in there, with pictures most likely.

me? No not afraid just lazy and want the easiest way
but still I want to opt for the summit one just cuz it's cheaper and same shiet
so yeah ...but no me not afriad just this past weeken I had to drilled the screw/bolt holding my bumper freakers were rusted and got stripped while trying to unscrew em...was my 2nd time dilling the screw after my first time a while ago which I even replaced the screws
so you guys think it'll still hold if I drill new holes on the summit box to line up with my existing holes or just drill holes on the chassis...just saying cuz drilling holes on the summit would be much easier

I have the summit battery relocation tray in my car. It took awhile to install but thats because i have a wire tuck. I can post up some pictures of how it was mounted if you are still curious on how it will look.

For some reason when I went to install mine the holes on the metal bracket did not line up with my stock mounting holes. Also I did a test fit with one of the mounting points lined up and there is no way I could get it to fit, my transmission is in the way. Maybe it's because I have a b18c5 in there??
Maybe on ur fitment...I looked at my B18 Rex and my SOHC Rex the B18 tranny looks to big to fit/clear the box? and the SOHC looks like it'll clear but I'm in it for the PIX! But guess I'll just order the summit one....
"GROG" yeah I guess, two addition holes shouldn't brake the damn box or I hope not
but the password box
Freaken overprice
Now if I order the box do I need new terminals or wires or anything? to hook it to the Oddyssey battery that i'll have to order too Want to make sure/know what it is I'll need to do this so can order the correct/right parts.... thanks

It was difficult to take decent pictures, but these will at least give you the general idea. I had to remove my radiator when installing the bracket. I used the summit racing tray, and i ordered the battery and terminals through them. I first lined it up to the exact location that i wanted it to be and used a center punch and sharpie to mark the spots to drill. I started out using a smaller drill bit and worked my way up to the desired size for each hole. I then threaded each of the holes and mounted the bracket up. I used two bolts on the left side of the bracket and only one of the right. The bracket holds solid and hasn't moved yet. It's been in my car for a couple of months now.
I trimmed off the little lip on the top of the bracket so i could remove the battery without fully removing the bracket.
Overview shot

You can kinda see the clearance with this shot.

thanks for the PIX guess I'll have to get on ordering now then...cuz I can use the extra room(no intake-no room
)how much with termails and all you remeber? How would I know if I've got the right terminals or is it just one type and connect that to my existing wires unless I want to replace my wires? Otherwise thanks and I'll eventually figure it out

That is what i ordered. It came with the terminals, and the stock wires mounted up to it. You will need to buy a set of 3/8 course threaded bolts from a hardware store to place in the terminals as well.

It's a cake install, trimmed a bit for even better fitment. It wasn't cheap but the deal that came with the battery *on sale* made it worth trying and getting some bling.
I'm happy with it.
