Default Do i need to run the "ect switch a/c fan timer system", the fanswitch in water outlet *pic*

hey guys i have a 91 accord, and its a base model, no a/c. Im puttin it back together now and i noticed i have a sensor for the a/c fan timer system in my water outler by the head. It was also plugged into my main engine harness before i took the engine out. My question is, does this fan switch ONLY control the fan for the a/c system? or does the ecu use it to read the temp, here is a pic, im talkin about the one in the top right circle, not the tstat housing one.

no one knows?

is my assumption (sp) correct, that i can just run the fan switch on the tstat and make sure the radiator fan is running off the plug that the tstat fan switch is hooked up to, and i dont have to use the a/c fan switch?
