Im going to be using a d15b2 1.5 block with a d16y7 1.6 head. What head gasket should i use? Can anyone help me out? What timing belt is needed also? Is the timing belt off of the head? a y7?

most/many D-series headgaskets are the same, the thinnest, strongest, cheapest would be the one from a 1996-2000 Honda Civic EX *D16Y8*

I would NOT do this swap though, I will be the first to tell you that head swapping a newer head, onto an older 1.5 liter block is a nightmare, and you have to order 9 of one kind of headstud, 1 of another kind, and you will need an adjustable cam gear. by the time you buy ARP studs and a cam gear thats $150 that you can buy a D16A6 short block with...

 

I thought you only needed to buy a new cam gear for the y8 head? im going to be using the y7 head. Which 9 arp head studs will i need and which one would be the different one? 9 arps for which? and 1 arp for which?
