Default prelude Mishap.

ok, i have a 2000 lude with 42, 398 on the ODO had the car for 8 months now. and i am still getting use to it. n e way there is this issue i have been getting, i step on the clutch to start the car and nothing i mean NOTHING it has happened twice 2nd time was tonite first time was i think 2 or 3 weeks ago. SO like i said i step on the clutch turn the key and i get nothing, but i have power so i don't think that is an issue my first thought was main relay, but i have too low of miles for that too hapen, but you never know, second thought was clutch switch. Anyway waht i did was take out the key and re-inserted it in the ignition and car starts fine Hmmm strange . So who has had this happened to? would apreciate the input

lol, that would be fantastic.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for that

Its low mileage though, maybe nobody ever got around to getting that recall serviced on this vehicle.

You might get lucky kidcool. Take it directly to Honda and get them to look up its vin. The vin will indicate if it had a recall service done on the ignition.

Does the green key light on the dash blink, not light up, or maybe come on for maybe a second or two and then shut out?

The green key on the dash is a stutus indicator for the immobilizer system. The indicator should light up then turn off after a second when you turn the key to the RUN position. If it doesn't come on at all then you may have a problem with the immobilizer. If the light stays on after a few seconds you may have a problem with the key or the immobilizer unit itself. Have you ever accidentally washed your keys?
