Lean at 3500
are you using a wideband to show that its leaning out? or how do you know its leaning out. and how lean is it actually getting. if you bought one of those ebay "chips" that probably why. more info and we can help better.
i have a wideband hooked up and at idle it reads 13-14 then when i floor it leans out at 3-3500 rpm. its got a stock set up walbro 255 pump super tech valves and springs and retainers. running a chipped p28. my friend got the chip from a company online that specializes on base mapping chips. i'm also getting the 1 code. Just the solid check light.

what rpm is your vtec set to come on? might have set the vtec to come on sooner without adding fuel to the high cam tables. also when you say it leans out, what afr are we talking here? when you say you ordered a basemap, that means exactly what it is... a basemap, meaning you still need to tune it. as long as you dont have any major upgrades you would be better off running a stock b16 map. what code are you getting thats throwing the check engine light.
a solid one. the vtec is set to 5500 but im goin lean 19-20's in neutral, stationary. but it only happens when i floor it. but slow rev goes up to 2 step every time. 2 step set to 5500. i just need to find a b16 obd1 ecu. so i can try it out to see if it works
