Putting the front rubber seal onto the Factor X Carbon Fiber hood.
Just wondering if anyone has dremeled the holes to put the factory weatherstipping on the Factor X hood.
If you have, can you let me know how you did this. Did you tape over the holes you dremeled? Masking tape, duct tape?
Thanks for any help you can give!

used a hi-speed dremel. get a friend to hold a vacuum cleaner up to the hood when you drill. Makes the job ALOT cleaner.

Some of our hoods come pre-drilled so you can install the rubber stripping easily. But sometimes it is not worth it because those plastic clips are sometimes more expensive than the actual rubber piece w/ the clips. So your better off purchasing the whole rubber piece w/ clips from Acura/Honda sometimes. Some of my customers have even glued the rubber strip on, and that is another great way to do it.
The weather strip with the little clips is ~$0.50 cheaper than just bying the clips...guess how I learned that.

just don't use the rubber seal - makes the hood look dumber.

My dad just burned it with a torch and used a drill bit and drilled it while it was soft. The rubber stripping cost me ~$22 or so with 20% off from the dealer.
