Default motor mounts

i have a CRX with a B16 motor in it. when i bought the car, it came with lousy motor mounts, so i decided to change them. I bought some innovative mounts and i still can feel the punch from first gear to second. the mounts are the street 65A mounts. is it normal to have a punch like that or is it that the motor mounts need to be a little stiffer? any help is appreciated, thanx

You need to explain what "punch" is.

'granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should...' lol
seriously, it sounds like you just need to shift smoother. you drive the car hard, and you're going to feel it. you can use stiffer mounts, but i promise you won't like all the vibration and resonating you feel/hear inside the car.
