Washed my engine bay so now....

Hello im new to hondas! Just wanna say hi to all on this awesome forum

So I just bought a 1998 Accord EX 3.0 V-tec V6

So I got to wash it down and clean the engine area and I use alot of soap and water to cool it down. I disconected the battery and all.

Soon as I plug it back up and start it its rumbling like crazy. I got to the local auto zone and I got a 2-3-4-5-6 cylinder misfire. WHAT THA HELL!

Sombody help!

you got water in the distributor.

or coil packs, if that year v6 came with them, which i dont think it did.

let it dry out, it will run fine.

lol. i just also realized you said you used water to cool it down.

cold water on a hot head is asking for big problems. like a cracked or warped head.

LOL, but to the op, pull your spark plug wires and check for water in the spark plug tubes.
