98 F23A1 VTEC PROBLEM
I have a 98 Accord with throuble code P1295. This is supposedly low oil pressure or faulty sensor.
I need to know where this sensor is located and how to test it.
I also noticed that the idle speed is a little low untill it gets up to temp. Could it be the low idle causing the oil pressure to dip low enough to set the code? I ask this because, the last time I cleared the code and restarted it, I imediately fast idled it and the code didn't come back.

yeah could be caused by really low idle, but thats a really low idle.
The switch is sorta backwards closed when engine off and open when engine running

After doing several more searches, I have discovered some interesting things.
The VETEC pressure switch plug is similar to the temp switch plug.
I might have fixed the problem while I was tinkering with it. I noticed that the fans were running constantly anytime the key was on. I unplugged the VTEC pressure sensor and the fans stopped. I unplugged the temp sensor on the thermostat housing and noticed the plugs were similar. I switched the plugs and the fan didn't start. Then I started the car and assumed that by fast idleing it, I prevented the CEL from coming back. I let the car run until the temp came up and the fans kicked in where they should.
Evidently, the mechanic that worked on it last, switched the plugs. The plug that was hooked to the pressure sensor had green and black wires. Now it is hooked to the temp sensor and is controling the fans.
I guess one switch is normaly open and one is normaly closed.
