Default Shotpeening(Ls/vtec build)

I sent my block to be honed and cleaned along with micropolishing my crank. When i asked about shotpeening my stock ls rods(ls/vtec build)he said it costs to much and i should just get aftermarket rods.It seems that everyone recommends it but everyone that ive talked to say only do it if you plan on spending a lot of time at 8-9krpms.

most machine shops only glass beed them. to actually have them shotpeened you need to send them to a metalology place. hope i said that right anyway it may be a bite costly though.
just get the arp bolts and resize the rods if its a mild build. the bolts and tight bearings clearances from the ls is what fails usually, not the rods.

if i'm not mistaken most honda rods should already be factory peened during the forging process...stronger rods are cheaper overall and offer piece of mind if clearances are correct
