Idle Adjustment
So I've been researching the haynes manual and http://www.team-integra.net/se...D=195
this website to do an idle adjustment.
Since I recently did a valve adjustment my idle has been a bit boggy and my engine shuts off every once in a while at a stop. Also since my RPMs have never been at normal operating range... I decided to give this a shot.
When you take off the IAC connector the engine doesn't even turn on without giving it some gas. So my idle is reaaaally low... since disconnecting the IAC should give you about 100 rpms less.
At this point I'm not sure what exactly to do. Any one have any suggestions?

i dont think the way team integra suggest does anything. i tried to do it their way and it didnt do anything but throw a check engine light and make my rpms go down to like 200.
i also had some weird idle issues after i did a valve adjustment, but everything worked its way back to normal. But my rpms will differ from stop light to stop light sometimes. sometimes its at 700, sometimes 800.
what i think you should do is re-do your valve adjustment. make sure its done right!

the way that TeamIntegra says to do it is correct.
cliff notes for those too lazy to read:
1) disconnect the IACV while your car is running
If you'll read the actual text, it says that your idle will drop and you need to adjust it back between 6-700rpm. If your cars idle does not change when you unplug your sensor, then you need to replace the entire valve
2) adjust your idle to the correct RPM
3) reconnect your IACV and clear the code.
