New tires
the time has come for my s2k to get some new boots (well rear ones anyway) and was wondering what everyone else is using the now??????? Ive had goodyear eagle F1's before as well as toyo proxes t1r before on my teg dc2 and was wondering if there is anything better out there that i havn't heard of yet????? all input would be welcome.......cheers
yokohama advan a048's i believe. honestly for that price, you can get tires that are the same for cheaper.
bridgestone potenza re01-r
dunlop direzza
falken azenis rt-615
kumho ecsta mx
ive had personal experience with all 4 of these tires... here are my brief reviews:
bridgestone
pros: amazing dry & wet traction, great tread life & tire wear, low road noise
cons: price
dunlop
pros: good dry traction, good tread life, price
cons: wet handling isnt the best
falken
pros: amazing dry traction, goodtread life, price
cons: wet handling isnt that good
kumho
pros: good dry & wet traction, great tread life & tire wear, low road noise, price
cons: none off the top of my head

I can vouch for the RE-01 R's
They have lasted me 8k miles so far, with hardly any treadwear
and they grip like crazy glue.

just remember to order 1 size narrower than you are planning on. my 245/40-17's are the same width as my friends 255/40-17 rt-615's
my fronts were supposed to be 225/45-17's but theyre the same size as 235/45-17's

I dont know why no one bought up the Hankook RS-2's. Theyre pretty good tires for the price. Theyre sticky and outhandle most of its competitors IN THE RAIN. as for dry weather handling, its not bad at all. it also wears slower than the azenis rt-615's.

true. rs-2's grip better, handle rain better, and are cheaper.

I highly recommend the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec!! They are a much better performer over the RE050's and are cheaper in price. I've talked to many people that have switched from RE-01r's to the Star Specs, and they love them!!
Side wall stiffness feels better than the 050's and turn-in/response feels much better on the Direzzas. As a plus, they have a wicked looking tread pattern.
