hay everyone i am leaving the turbo scene and trying my luck with all motor...i have a 98 ek coupe...and i am working on a ls/vtec.....my goal is to make around 230-240whp...i dont know if my goal is reachable but from the reasearch i have done i have found that it can be done....with proper tuning...the one thing that i dont know on what to get is CAMS...i have a budget and i dont want to spend more than $500 first i will start with my setup and then a list of cams i am interested in....

Golden eagle 84mm LS bottom end
12.5:1 comp Manley pistons
Golden eagle H-Beams
b16 head no porting done
ferrea Std size valves
skunk 2 springs
skunk 2 retainers
pte 440cc injectors
aeromotive fuel regulator
walbro 255
JG intake manifold
70mm rpm services throthle body
Hytec replica header
3" exhaust

so now i was intersted in the following cams
Blox compition HSL
Blox compition Type C
Toda Type B

i can get any of the three for $400 bucks...all new exept for the Todas....

so which cam will help me make the power i want...or will none of those do it for me....????

i've seen good power from all those cams. hsl or the c might be best for ur set up. good luck. hope it helps.

 

any of those cams will do!! i have seen many of those in a 2.0 motors breaking 230+ whp!!

I kno the hsl make good power one guy on here on his 82mm gsr made 229 on them so I think you should be fine

 

yea im leaning more towards the blox type c because they are very similar to the jun III's and those make great power and have good mid range
