inner tie rod

Default inner tie rod

hey whats up. i got a 91 si and having a hell of a time getting the inner tie rod out. not new to efs but never had to change one. any tips?

that i did. just wont come free. just didnt know if anyone else has had this problem.

i have a rack. cars on it now. i do my own alignment. i work at a shop. the other guy that works here is old and wants to heat it and well yeah. i dont want to. jsut didnt know if there were any tricks i havent tried yet that some people on here have tried

Mine came right off after getting the lock washers bent which was a bitch. Sorry I cant offer any more help. Good luck.

yeah im done for the night, will try a bit more force tomorrow. i soaked it with some penitrating oil. so hope that helps it out. i will find out tomorrow nigth

i usually just dont even bother with the lock washer and use an adjustable wrench to wrench off the inner tie rod, breaking the tabs of the lock washer. i replace it anyway.

are you having problems getting to the inner tie rod to wrench it out?

i could get right at it. it just didnt want to snap free. i got it this morring before work. it had never been replaced so just needed a bit of help
