If you retrieve the codes from the ECU they will tell you why the CEL is on. If you are unsure of how to retrieve the DTCodes yourself. There is a paper clip method that you can use.

3 Easy to Follow Steps:

1.) Locate the blue 2 pin jumper plug. It is attached to a metal support under the glove box

2.) WITH THE CAR OFF, insert either a 2pin connector clip, paper clip, or loop a thin enough piece of wire into both holes on the connector.

3.) Back in the driver's seat, turn the key to the 'ON' position. The CEL light will come on at startup, like normal, but it will then begin to flash.
**By counting the number of flashes, you can decipher the CEL #.
SHORT flashes are single digits (1/2 second)
LONG flashes are 10's (1 second)

Ex
short...short...short = code 3
short...short...long...long...long = code 24

I do not want to seem rude, however I wanted to interject this information;
The service check connector [Blue 2 pin] is located just behind the top of the passenger side kick panel on the 90-93 Accords. It was taped to the wire harness at the factory with Blue tape.
In 94 Honda moved it to a holder behind the glove box, yet still in the area of the top of the kick panel.
