I'm guessing that you have an aftermarket map sensor to be running over 11psi. But I had done 13 psi on my stock d16z6 with a t3/t04e 46 trim turbo. Number are in my sig. It's the first one that made 235whp/205tq @ 13 psi. Never had any problems with it.

Yea you could but not for very long prolly. Especially with it being your DD. Go for 10.

alrite, i want to run as much psi as i can SAFELY. I dont need it to be the fastest, I just want to use it to its potential, so i could run 10psi, every day, and have no problems?

I would stick to 8 but being tuned 10 would be fine but to be on the safe side i suggest 8. Im not saying this out of my *** i have my eg ferio almost same setup instead im running 440c injectors and its set at 8 for the past 4 months with no problem. It all depends on the tuning. Most people are using base maps and thinking its a ok. Folks.....its a basemap not fully something direct for what YOU have.

If it was tuned for 12 then yes. But its a shot in the dark really, no one can tell you yes or no and be sure.

10 psi on one turbo is not the same as 10 psi on another turbo, not to mention how your ignition map is tuned.

Your best bet is to turn up the boost a little on the dyno, and if it is still in the proper af range turn it up a little more and see what your af looks like, as well as the whp.

Again, I would only do this if I knew for sure it was originally tuned for 12, if it was, and done correctly, it should be fine.

Kuja is right you can tune it to run almost at any psi you would like but to be reliable depends on the tuning and the quality of turbo parts you gave Wastegate ETC. Ive seen a single cam del sol run 15psi for about 5 months and im talking about getting beat to death but the guy is a professional tuner he knows what he was doing plus he has a stand alone cpu not a vafc or stuff like that if you wanna keep it safe but with power 10 is good.

I've seen people run it at 15 psi dd on the same setup. You should be fine. But like others quoted, psi isn't really good at measuring anything. Its probably whp and tq that you should be concerned with.

IE, you can run 20psi on an IHI turbo and make less power.

You just said it! I highly reccomend dyno tuning your current set up......and going no more than 10psi. Bottom line. What good is a DD if it doesn't run when you turn over the key!?

Whatever psi it takes you to get to 220-230whp. 220-230whp is fine if it's tune correctly.

220-240whp is about max safely on a stock D....psi is irrelevent. If we knew more about the turbo, we could give you a better answer.

If it's running safe now and thats all your concerned with don't, mess with it, If it aint broke don't fix it. also like everyone else said put it on a dyno, and have it dyno tuned. We don't know your setup completely, miles on your motor wear and tear, compression, of your motor or anything the only way is to, take it to a dyno or turn it up yourself and watch your a/f ratio as you drive and make sure it doesn't lean out, pyrometer will also indicate your motor leaning out if it starts to shoot up to 1400-1600, it's a good sign your leaning out. if this doesn't help post in the forced induction, forum
