150psi each cylinder, Helthy b16a2 00 si. BAD?/GOOD?
didi my compression test today, an noticed im 150 all the way across an i just turbo'd it.
Each test i did i turned off my fuel pump with my cut off switch, had it at WOT an turend it over 4 times.
Same numbers 150psi dead on each one.
The car had always not been up to the b16a2 par, my friends si had more power an we had same everything....
I do not know the history of the car, but looks like no one has ever taken this car apart. ...No sings of rebuild or nothing.
Car has 140k an befor i boosted car never smoked an had ran like a champ! I have always had a filter on my valve cover, an no oil ever comes out of that thing....
So is there anyway i could tell if someone has put different pistions in it with out tearing it appart to much?
Is this a Bad sign? Rings?

cold engine or warm ?
my beater *** racecar tests about 150 psi compression and belts out over 800hp.
in my opinion, a bone stock b16 engine should be pumping over 210 compression.

Do it again, with a fully warm engine,WOT,and crank it over around 7 times. The Helms manual says (not word from word) to crank it over an odd number of times (meaning 5,7,9,etc.) for all cylinders. I always do 7 when i do mine. try that, only cranking it 4 times, you might of still been building compression and stopped the test early.
thanks everyone for the info!
So i should try the test again an crake it 7 times?
My dose not burn oil, an looks clean inside an out. meaning i would see a leak if there was one.
Is there any way for me to check the pistions? maybe the owners befor me swaped them for some reason..
I just think it would be way weird if my rings ALL leaked the same amount

Compression testers are used primarily to compair readings between the 4 cylinders - from that test only. Other testers will read different due to volume changes in the hose, etc. 150psi seems low, but if you realized how improbable it is to have all 4 cylinders in the exact same 'poor' condition, you'd play the lottery - you definately beating the odds! FYI I've used one tester on a worn D16Z6 and got 210 across the board. All it told me was that there were no bad rings, not that I had 11:1 CR or something (bone stock).
There's an outside chance that your lifters are all set the same, except with too much clearance. That would definately be a bad situation, since slightly open valves leak combustable air as well as red-hot exhaust when closed.
