i would like advice
Well it all depends on what you want to do with the car.
AutoX, time attack, Drag, Street and ghey High-way pulls.
For anything that isn't going in a strait line I would go with
either a built D15B or B20/CR-vtec (B20 w B16 head).
With D15B try to get a LSD trans. With B20 I would use
B16 LSD trans.
A built and boosted CR-vtec would pull very hard.
One thing about anything B20, your getting lots of Torque
and a very affordable budget.
My two cents, but in the end it's up to you. Good luck with
what ever you do.

The del Sol VTEC isn't a very common model and can be difficult to find, much less at a decent price.

Now that I see the photos, I'd give the following suggestions so you have a nice clean slate to start with.
- Replace Wheels
- Replace Bumper
- Remove Rear Lip
- Remove Spoiler
- Replace Wipers
- Paint
Granted the only thing you might care about is the paint or the wheels (if you want the car to be quicker).
Still, those are my suggestions. Clean the car up and then start putting money into modifications.

Well, if you like it, props to you. Most people (myself included) would probably have to spend several hundred dollars just getting rid of all the crap on there to get it back to stock before even thinking about putting a different engine in there.
If you want to go for a B16, good luck. The del Sol has a lot of unique parts that you'll have to find if you want to do a swap (e.g. you'll have to get shift linkage from an EG2). And after that, you'll have a car that's approximately as fast as a 99-00 Civic Si--not that fast.
If I were you, I'd sell this car and get a stock Si. They're lighter and much cheaper than the VTEC model, are quick enough for any regular driving, and get great mileage. Plus, they can be had for super cheap--easily less than $2500 for a clean example.

Ask 10 diffrent guys the same ? and you will get 10 diffrent answers.
If you are going NA B18 whether it be LS/VTEC or not up to you.
Boosted ? could go both ways with a 1.8-2.0 Liter you will get more torque same with NA. But some times it could be too much and you will get wheel spin on street tires until you hook up.
If DD I would go for fuel economy (my personal opinion) B16 then build from there. I have a 93 EG hatch with JDM B16A boosted with 7psi and it is nice and fun to drive.
Here is a good link to look at if you are going to boost. http://www.importbuilders.com/...o.htm

True, luckily I was able to find one a few miles where I live. Just waiting for his response.
