We just installed a xenocron 255lph w / the stock honda filter sock.....we are still having fuel starvation problems @ 15 laps......Is the big dent in tank to blame? Is the pump sitting too high in the tank? One of my teammates HATES this pump! It was only $60, so maybe it's a case of "you get what you pay for".....bump for more info......thanks

Is your tank dented "going up" right near the pump from (previous owner's?) IDIOT jacking maneuvers? mine is...
Did you use the STOCK screen/sock? I did, other threads say it's key......
When you jack up the front of the car, does the flow increase? mine did.......
I'd hate to consider a new pump, this one's brand new, but ........
Good Luck.....to me...

btw, How old is your fuel filter?
Did you make sure the sock/screen was oriented correctly into the little tank inside?
Are the wires tight? Are they protected?
Have you blown out the hoses?

When I got my current ef hatch, it stalled @ 1/2 tank. There was no sock/screen installed AT ALL!!!!.......Good Luck

Beware, there are some FAKE Walbros being sold.....SEARCH.......

Did anyone ever find out the solution to this?? I'm having the same probably right after my xenocron install. I'm going to pull it back out tonight or tomorrow to see if I can find anything that might be wrong.

I'm thinking that my sock might be misoriented in the tank. I used xenocron's sock, but this is after they posted that their new, longer sock works well. I also compared it to the stock sock/filter and they were the same length.

If anyone has any information on this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

If you have an old sock for some reason (bought it a while ago or something) email me and I can get you one of the newer ones, I think I have a few extras laying around.

on my first si hatch i had a walboro pump installed at a shop cause the stock pump had failed. used the supplied filter sock. i had the same issue. car died after half tank of fuel. well after arguing with them about fixing it right i decided to remove the tank again myself and see wtf was goin on.

they had forgotten to put a hose clamp on the rubber pickup tube above the pump. so once fuel went below that part of the hose it sucked air and not gas thus dying out about half tank as if it was empty. id check that out.

Happen to me before after I've installed my walbro pump. the problem is that vacuum leaking, mine was the cover under passenger seat, wast really closed, so I re do it tighten up again. If you not even open that part, just re tighten all the nuts that hold the fuel pump assembly. Anyway the point is , it just vacuum leak in the tank, ow, the thing to confirm that, when you open you fuel tank after driving, it not gonna make sucking sound, then you really have fuel tank vacuum leak.

Thanks for all the info guys! It looks like I'm going to have to do a motor rebuild, but after I get finished, I'll definitely be checking into this and hopefully all will be good.

I believe my gas cap had the vacuum sound most recently though when I was getting gas. I was thinking that the sock might not be sealing very good at the bottom of the pump, but I don't know if this happened to anyone else. I'll look into it when I get a chance. Thanks
