Default Civic with GSR question

How do you know if ur IAB or dual butterfly solenoid works? can u really feel a jump in power once it opens up after vtec??? if u have a gsr manifold do you really need to wire it to the ecu? well I wired it but I dont know if it works or not..

I'm telling you. There a pain in the ***. You will be doing yourself a favor. I have taken them out of several motors and always thought it felt smoother.

Mine are just open all the time, I lose low end power but atleast it's all good in vtec. I couldn't figure out the wiring so it's been that way for two years.

You dont have to get a new intake mani. All you need to do is remove the bolts that hold that cap on there and pull the butterflys out. Put the cap back on with some honda bond and shorter bolts.
