Help removing rear speaker panel (package shelf in rear window) for bass speaker installation
First of all, what is the best way to remove the four clips holding on the trunk spring cover?
Next, when removing the rear speaker panel cover from the rear window, do I push all of the little plastic clips up from the bottom, or do I slide the rear panel off of them, or how do I take this apart. The directions are fairly vague, so I'm looking for somebody with experience to help me so I don't break anything.
Forgot to mention, it's an 08 LX coupe. The covers immediately above the speakers won't pop out like some of the other models. I must remove the whole rear deck panel.

Definitely pop every clip out with the panel, because you will have to pop them anyway. I don't think you could just slide the panel off the clips anyway. Even if you could, I guarantee you couldn't slide it back on every clip, without taking them out.
It was months ago that I did this, so my memory on the subject is a little vague. I think you either have to remove, or partially pop the clips for the plastic pieces that run next to the back seats. I don't remember if you have to, in order to remove the rear deck panel. I know I removed mine when I was running wires.
Anyway...
The easiest way to pop the clips without breaking them is to fold down your seat and lay on your back, inside your trunk/back seat looking up and the bottom of the rear deck. With pliers, very gently squeeze each clip with pushing up. You will feel the clip release and then you can move to the next clip. There are a couple clips in tight spots, so needle nose pliers may come in handy. Once you popped all of the clips you should be able to pull the panel out.
Make sure you squeeze those clips gently, so that they retain their memory, in order to pop back into their holes.
