Default ?????piston information?????

Does anyone have experince with the "IMPORT BUILDERS IB SPEC WISECO PISTON"?

Are these lighter then stock itr pistons?

Would the forged design be ok for daily driving? piston slap, etc....

I am currently rebuilding gsr bottom-end and would like to use the gsr rods, will the pistons be able to be pressed on like stock ones? i am asking becasue i noticed most forged pistons have those clips that hold wrist pins in?

Would you recomend that i stay with maybe, jdm itr piston and mill head? I would prefer ~mid to high 11 compression ratio?

Any other recomendations? Advice?

much thanks,
eric

YOU need to use aftermarket rods with wiseco pistons. Almost all aftermarket pistons are full floating design.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

thanks, though i have gsr rods that are in the bottom-end now! Though i do have question? Why did you choose Jeffs Weisco pistons over say, endyne or JE? i plan on choosing by end of week, so i can rebuild underway!
thanks, eric

I believe they're cut a bit deeper to allow some more piston-valve clearance ... i think.

Yes , you will have to bush the rods(have bushings pressed in) then you can free float them and use the little c clips.

I'm not sure if they are "lighter" than ITR's, but the Endyn's are light as a feather!

Weigh or way?

The ENDYN pistons are among the cheapest aftermarket pistons you can buy.

I'm sure the weight difference between all of them isn't that significant also.

i doubt any forged aluminium pistons will weigh less than the stock cast pistons.......cast B18C5 pistons are pretty damn light......but forged aluminium is so much stonger.......

They are lighter than the Endyn parts. Those are some of the heaviest pistons out. Heavier than mine, heavier than JE.

And Mine are cheaper than the Endyn pieces.

I will beat ANY endyn piston price. Show me a quote, I beat it.

IB Spec were designed to be the most advanced piston on the commercial market. They are as trick as you would expect.

Wiseco makes Rollerwave, Wiseco makes IB Spec.

Except mine are designed for you all in mind. Deeper valve reliefs, without using larger domes. Because they don't have the huge slice cut out of the valve pocket area in between, like Rollerwave, we can achieve even more compression without sacrificing effeciency, while making it SAFER to run larger cams.

+ the skirt design is more S2000 territory, than the old style Endyn skirts.

And yes, both have anti-detonation rings, and oil grooves in the pin area.

These are simply state of the art, Honda Pistons. And for the price of the Group buy going on right now, you will be very satisfied with them.

Best Buy forum.

Post the weights of your pistons.

Wouldnt you want larger domes for more compression?
