valve train upgrade?
ok so ive got a 97 ls with 122,000 miles. id like to get to upgrade my valve train to some stage 2 cams, gears and springs and retainers all ive got now is an intake and coilovers. what can i expect for this? is this something i should even do? what else should i do while im down there? any sugestions on where/what to get? any help would be appriceited.

Stage 2 cams on an internally stock engine is not right. Stage 2 cams, for any company, generally RECCOMEND an increase in compression and increased flow at both the intake and exhaust ports of the head.
You're going to want a lot of things which you probably have not even figured into your budget yet, have you set a power goal? On top of this, your car is somewhat entering the "high mileage" category and you might want to go ahead and rebuild the head since you're going to be working on it.
