Default Road noise? *searched* please help.

so I am driving around yesterday and suddenly a hear this screeching noise coming from the front driver side of the car....car feels the same, just a screeching noise (like metal grinding metal) but my car decelerating at it's usual rate. (I was NOT touching the brakes)...It was doing this all last night but it comes on for a couple of minutes and then goes away.

My car feels exactly the same....besides it making this noise.

I have no clue what it could be.

hard to tell with the comparison of screeching and grinding.. they are really different. If it sounds like metal rubbing on metal, I'd check the brake plate. It may be rubbing on the rotor which mine had done. All I did was jacked it up on the side it was from, took of the wheel, and bent the plate back so it was no longer touching. report back after you try that!
