Just wondering if anyone has ever been to Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC?

The track is only about an hour away. Just wondering if anyone likes it or if they ever been on it?

 

Many ITR owners track their car out there so I've been out there before in my car. CMP is definately worth a visit, especially since you're only an hour away. It's a good technical track with some fun turns, especially "The Kink" and "The Autocross Section".

 

I have been many times, it is very close o us and worth the trip out. It is especially nice since they paved the back section and got rid of the square corners

The track is DEFINATELY worth the trip out......let me know if you are going, I may make the trip out with you

Cool I'm tryin to get some more info on the track and how things work. Like when you can go and how much, that sort of stuff. I don't think I would be blazing around the track but it would be fun I think.

Me and a friend took our bikes to chester to a really twisty road and I had a blast on it. Had two very tight turns that i had to lean the bike all the way to where the markings on the tire was to the edge..it was fun.

But yea that would be cool if I could get someone there experienced to help me out some!

yea i seen all their stuff but don't have a clue as to what im looking at. lol I sent them an email earlier. Hopefully they will answer some of my questions. Seems like they are having some cool events going on there too. Might just go down there and watch some things.

 

there are a couple sportbike forums for SC an d NC. You may want to look into those, they may have an orgaized event coming up soon

 

either that or contact KWS Motorsports in Charleston and find out the next time they are going. They have an AMA team and are always hitting up the local tracks.

 

There is an event June 8th and 9th with NESBA, which I am considering attending (of course I'm sure their beginner group is full in which case I attend). Also SportBikeTrackTime will be there September 27th and 28th. I'm also an hour away from CMP.
