need help: H22A eg + road course?????
I got an offer for a jdm h22a for a great price, however i like to drive my car on the road course. My question to those who have h22a civics, is it trackable?
I think i saw someone on here who has an eg with h22a, that goes to the track??
I really need to hear some 1st hand experience with this type of setup...
Other wise i will pass up a good deal and look for a bseries engine instead.
currently i have tien ha's, upgraded brakes, type R swaybar, and most generic strut/tie bars.
thanks.

yes it's perfectly capable....in fact, i've heard of people getting rid of C5's in their track cars to go h22...TQ is awesome. but of course there will always be the argument that a b series will ALWAYS be better because of weight. i personally don't buy that...but then again i'll never be on a road course in my life.
Driving my h22 feels way different than the b16 i used to have, i can tell you that there is a difference in handling but i dont think its that bad. I prob just need a bigger swaybar and such. Also i had to take out my Z10 radius bars so thats makes a big difference too
I've taken my H22 hatch out on the road course already.... read about what I had to say about it... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=183552
It actually drove very well for the crap suspension that was on it. With your setup, your car will handle much better than mine did (my car is setup for straight line... for now
) and another member on here, JeffS, used to have an ITR swap in his hatch... after driving my car on the track, he's going H22 in his hatch... and all he does is auto-x and road race. It's been done, and it drives great (so much power & torque... I could let my car drop to 1500 rpms in 3rd gear around tight turns, gas it and the torque is there to bring it back up very quickly.... I took a couple laps not shifting at all (left it in 3rd gear) at Buttonwillow.
